A month ago today, April 5, 2005, DJ Disk was in Chicago, Illinois at the local PBS studios for a special recording of Bill Laswell's projects. The all-star performance was recorded for the show SoundStage in HD video.
Look for this episode on SoundStage's season 3. The TV show will show only one hour of this two-hour event, but DVD's will be available of the entire show.
Bands featured are Bill Laswell's Tabla Beat Science, Material and Praxis. Special appearances by Bootsy Collins, Pharaoh Sanders, Grandmixer DXT, Zakir Hussain, Brain and Buckethead, to just name a few.

Disk is still in the studio recording his new solo album.
To be released next month: Tornado Urine Breaks, Disk's new breakbeat record. Look for it at your local record shop, or you can buy it here on djdisk.net.

Disk has completed recording tracks for the new Praxis album slated to come out later this year. This upcoming album will feature Iggy Pop, System of a Down, Mike Patton, Dave Lombardo, Bernie Worrell, Bill Laswell, Dj Disk, Dj Olive, Buckethead, Rawthang, Monkey + Large, Amit, Paradox and future prophecies. 2005 on Sanctuary Records USA.
Also in the works, Disk is in the studio recording his newest solo album. This album is also slated to come out later this year.
